Kristen Deem

Starting in January 2011, ARUP Laboratories also became a tobacco-free campus. We found that the majority of employees were happy for this new policy and our company spent 8 months communicating educational messages and offering assistance for those who chose to quit prior to the policy going into effect. All the reasons you state in this piece were factors in making this change. However, the rule only applies to the time an employee spends on the ARUP campus and there are no plans for nicotine testing.
