Leica Biosystems has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Aperio (see: Leica Biosystems To Acquire Aperio). Aperio will be integrated into Leica Biosystems. The company will continue to offer both the Aperio and the existing Leica portfolio of digital pathology solutions. Leica Biosystems provides histopathology laboratory solutions. It is represented in over 100 countries and has manufacturing facilities in 7 countries, sales and service organizations in 19 countries. The company is headquartered in Nussloch, Germany.
